Windows Copilot can remember certain information from your interactions to provide more personalized responses. While this feature can be helpful, you may want to manage, or delete stored memory for privacy or preference reasons. In this guide, we’ll show you two ways to manage or remove Copilot memory in Windows 11.
You can review and remove Copilot memory directly within the Copilot interface. This allows you to delete specific memories or clear everything at once.

If you use Copilot through Microsoft Edge, you can manage its memory directly from the Edge Copilot settings.
Open Microsoft Edge and click the Copilot (Chat) icon in the top-right corner of the browser.
Click More options (… ) in the Copilot panel and then select Settings.

Managing Copilot memory in Windows 11 helps protect your privacy and control what the AI remembers. You can delete individual memories, clear all stored data, or review saved information through Copilot settings or Microsoft Edge. Checking these settings periodically ensures your personal data remains under your control.
