How to Turn Off Settings Notifications in Windows 11

Windows 11 sometimes displays recommendations, tips and ads in the promotional banners inside some certain pages of the Settings app to suggest apps, extra features, or Microsoft services.

If you find these notifications very distracting, you can easily disable them by following the steps in this WiseCleaner article.

Prevent Notifications from Showing in the Settings App

Step 1. Turn off Recommendations & Offers in Settings

This disables most promotional notifications and suggestions in Settings.

Press Win + I to open the Settings app.

Click the Privacy & security tab in the left navigation pane.

Select the Recommendations & offers option from the right-side menu.

Toggle off these four switches below:

Personalized offers

Improve Start and search results

Recommendations and offers in Settings

Advertising ID

Step 2. Disable System Suggestions in Registry Editor

Registry Editor offers more control to turn off Settings recommendations, but edit registry editor and back it up first.

Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager

Double-click on SystemPaneSuggestionsEnabled from the right-hand pane and set its Value data to 0.

Additional Tip

Optionally, use a local account instead of a Microsoft account to reduce account-based suggestions.
