The Start Menu is one of the most visible parts of the Windows interface, and customizing its color can give your system a personal touch or make it easier on the eyes. Windows allows users to change the Start Menu color through a few simple steps, but by default, that will change the Taskbar and the Action Center to the same color too. This guide will walk you through the process to display your accent color on the Start menu for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Press Win + I on the keyboard to open the Settings app.
In the Settings window, click Personalization from the left-side tab.

On the right-hand menu, click on Colors.

To show accent color on Start and taskbar, you need to select Dark from the drop-down menu of Choose your mode first, since it is only available in Dark Mode.

Choose your accent color by selecting either Automatic or Manual from the drop-down menu of Accent color:
Automatic: Windows will automatically choose a color based on your desktop wallpaper.
Manual: You can scroll down to the Windows colors section and pick the color you prefer there, or click Custom colors to choose an exact shade.

Scroll down and enable the toggle for Show accent color on the Start and taskbar to let the Start Menu, Taskbar, and Action Center display your chosen color.

Changing your Start menu color is a simple way to refresh the look of your Windows system and make it feel more personalized. By following these simple steps, your Start Menu can reflect your style.
